Question Layer over Pinnacle Souveran Jeweling Wax?

Can i layer over pinnacle souveran jeweling wax with pinnacle liquid souveran wax? I’m picking up a new car next week and I would polish it out before I would give it it’s first wax using a light polish but I saw this new jeweling wax and would like to give it a try. I always use liquid souveran about twice a year on my leases and it has worked out very well. And I would like to cut down on the prep time before waxing.

I believe that would be fine. There’s 2+ other threads going on right now for similar topics on other AIOs, and I think Pinnacle Jeweling Wax, which I believe protects similar to Souveran Liquid would do well.

The jeweling wax is supposed to be used to bring out the highest shine (I think). Applying a wax over the top of the jeweling wax would defeat the purpose. I would apply the Souveran after the jeweling wax starts to deteriorate. But to answer the question you posited, yes you can put Liquid Souveran over Pinnacle Jeweling Wax with no problems.

Re: Layer over Pinnacle Souveran Jeweling Wax?

This is an AIO/Cleaner Wax etc , just like HD Speed, BF AIO, Mk's 360 etc. So the same debate raging on right now on the forum applies to this product as far as "TOPPING"

The name "jeweling" but read the product description. Also claims 3 months longevity.

    Pinnacle Souveran Jeweling Wax

And at that price point I'm sticking with HD Speed.

    PJW 16oz $45.99 HD Speed 32oz. $29.99

I can't comment on the longevity but nothing last 3 months with these bugs on it needing to be scrubbed off. This is what I'm tackling in the am.

These etch paint in about 5-7 days max, so no aio or sealant is going to stand up to the acid in love bugs baked on in 90+ degree Florida heat and just imagine dark colored paints and the heat generated there. Neither is a coating LOL. If they eat up clear coat they devour coatings in no time.

Keep in mind, you cannot get the full effect with these pics. These are packed up in every nook and cranny, on your hood, in the windshiled cracks, in the radiator, etc. They explode on contact and dry and bake on like epoxy. A pressure washer won't touch them. I've been in Florida for 35 years, that's dealing with Love Bugs twice a year, 4-6 weeks each season, so 70 love bug seasons!!! Spring and Fall.
For everyone you can see in the pics their are at least 5 more you can't see. I can barely see through my windshield. Bug sqaush, these laugh at that LOL. You have to soak them and let them soften up. Belive it or not, a good tropical 30 minute rain at 60+ mph down a highway will remove more than a wash.

Not sure exactly how using the jeweling wax in place of a light polish would cut down on prep time? If Liquid Souveran is your preferred LSP, then applying it on top of clean polished paint will give you a better bond (and most likely durability) then putting it on top of the jeweling wax. That may be the better route to go for a vehicle that will be daily driven.

CAN you put Liquid Souveran on top of the jeweling wax? Sure you can. But if the goal is to maximize shine and gloss on your new pride & joy, polishing with a pure finishing polish then applying your chosen LSP is the way to go (imho)...

If you are going to do 2 steps its better to use a dedicated polish then the wax. Depending on the swirls or defects use like menzerna 3500 or 3800 then the wax

•If you are really wanting to layer
these two products, I don’t really
    see any deep-rooted scientific
    evidence pointing to the contrary.

    After all:
-People apply various Waxes and Sealants
to paint once they have “jeweled” it with
    Fine/Ultra Fine Cut Polishes—and without
reporting any resulting diminishment of the
gloss, shine, sheen, etc., that they achieved
    from the prior “jeweling” step.

    •I’ll add that if I was a car-care products
vendor then I, most assuredly, would
    appreciate the Layer-ers amongst us.
