Mike, what backing plate did you use for this project and what would be a deciding factor for you to change your choice on a backing plate? I assume a stiffer plate would give more cut on a project like this, though on similar projects I just used what I had...W64 plate, then again...a more flexible plate fits the contours of the boat better.
