Training Cars - For the September 2020 Detailing Class

Training Cars - For the September 2020 Detailing Class

    UPDATE

Here's the Autogeek Show Car Garage the night before class starts

There a 13 cars crammed into the garage and 4 more parked in the warehouse!

This is why there are NO CHAIRS and NO SITTING in my classes - there simply isn't time. You're going to be too busy LEARNING.

Here's the cars you'll be training on... as I confirm cars for this class I'll add them to this thread.

1 - 1966 Corvette Stingray Convertible - Fully restored 20 years ago - needs major paint correction

    2 - 1966 Corvette Stingray

This is a full nut & bolt restoration that's getting fresh custom paint in the next week or two.

    Friday Noon
    RUPES Polishers, Pads & Products

    3 - 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C

    4 - 2018 Tesla S

    Friday Mid-afternoon

    Griot’s BOSS Long Stroke Polishers
    BOSS 15mm & BOSS 21mm

    5 - 1971 Z28 Camaro

    6 - 2013 Camaro - Daily Driver - Parked outside 24x7

    Saturday Morning
FLEX BEAST – SUPA BEAST - CBEAST – FINISHER

    7 - 1968 Firebird Convertible

    8 - 1966 Chevelle Convertible

    9 - 1969 Chevelle Convertible

    Free-4-All – Production Detailing

    Tools = Students Choice

    10 - 1987 Ferrari 328 GTS

11 - An original paint 1968 Cadillac Eldorado!

The class will be learning the #7 Rub Down Technique on this car at the end of the day on Friday and then on Saturday, you'll be learning Production Detailing. We will also be going over how to restore and protect vinyl tops using products from 303.

    Saturday Mid-afternoon
    Rotary Polishers

    12 - 1951 Ford F1

    13 - 2004 Corvette

    Sunday Wetsanding Cars

The only class on Planet Earth where you learn hand wetsanding and machine wetsanding on actual cars. The wetsanding class starts on Sunday morning. By the time Sunday morning arrives you'll have already used all the major tools, pads and products. You'll have a higher skill level and knowledge level.

    14 - 1937 Ford 2-Door Slantback Streetrod

Fresh build from Arkansas with over $100,000.00 receipts in JUST PARTS. Most of this car has been freshly re-painted and needs to be sanded to remove the orange peel.

    15 - 1937 Ford 2-Door Slantback Chopped Streetrod

This streetrod goes in for custom paint on Thursday, September 3rd. It's getting painted a bright orange/red.

And.... that's not all. More to come. In my 3-day class, you will work on 12 cars the first 2 days.

No chairs. No sitting. All training. You can sit all you want when you get back home.

    I am too!

Do you also offer an IDA skills validation test after the boot camp? If so what are the costs associated with that?

It probably won't come to you as a surprise when I say this,

I have an article on that!

Click the link below and all the info you need and the LINKS to all the pertinent webpages are included.

Info on IDA SV Certification Testing at Autogeek

Here's a video that talks about the IDA and what it's all about. Yours truly has a cameo in buffing out a demo hood at MTE.

I watched the video. Also I read the article. I'm looking forward to getting certified!

When I click on the link it says I do not have permission to access the page, but I just Googled it and found the article.
