Nope. L-88's did not have a radio antenna. IIRC, that is one of the only discerning visible (exterior) features. I don't think L-88's could have the optional J02 wheel covers like this car either. McDorman's Cortez Silver 1969 was not an L-88.

Enjoy everyone. :buffing:

Had a blast at this roadshow class! Also had the privilege of driving the boxster home.
Really enjoyed being able to use a variety of top notch machines and products and be able to form your own opinion of which is right for you.
Mike’s unbiased and hands on approach really makes this class unique.
Not to sound like a salesman, but if you were even remotely considering taking this class, I would highly recommend it.

For the record, the L88 was rated at 430 HP, not 450. Although, most would state the the "actual" HP was over 500.

Instead of lowballing the L88 @ just 430 HP...
I’m going to go with the factory-claimed/rated
horsepower of 435.
{Actual HP: ~540-580}

And here’s the old 2-door Chevy after the class detailed it

This Vette and the black Corvette were the 2 cars we used for the RUPES Detailing Class.

Re: Pictures: Roadshow Class with Detail Pro Shop in Powell, Ohio
I walked into this class with some experience under my belt. Everything I knew before this class was self taught through trial and error or learned from forums and YouTube.
I'm not saying you can't learn that way, but what that does not do is give you access to one-on-one dialogue with a top notch professional (Mike Phillips) along with the plethora of tools he gives you access to.
This 2 day class was more in-depth and hands on than any course I have taken before. Having the ability to try so many products and tools greatly cut down on the trial and error I will need to go through in the future.
This class also opened my eyes to things that have caused me struggles with my detailing business on the side. Everything from taking too long, struggling with a product, or not matching my work to the level the customer is expecting (I usually go further than they are paying for)
. I know that after this class I will be able to offer a higher level of service and in less time. For those reasons I can not recommend this class enough.
If you are a part time detailer trying to make money on the side then what you learn from this class will easily pay for itself in no time.
And keep your ears open because Mike drops these little tips throughout the weekend that are actually huge pieces of advice. Something I learned from Mike,
The little things are actually the big things!
