Keep on swimming. I had to stop for 6 weeks due to vertigo issues. Instead row 3 miles followed by biking 5 miles (Indoors) 3x a week and 1 beer league ice hockey game every Sunday. Should get back to swimming once I get back from a business trip to China (March 1)

IMO, swimming is one of the hardest (if not hardest) sport there is. i underestimated it when i first started years ago and it's one sport that utilizes every inch of your whole body from top to bottom. the fact that it doesn't rely on another person to do it (except for the relay) you have to be disciplined to learn how to do it efficiently/correctly otherwise you won't progress in not only moving across the water, but tiring/gassing out to soon. learning to breath efficiently in a pattern is a task in it's own right, let it alone swimming the right way. swimming also helps in opening your lungs to help breath better as well. have a safe business trip and get back in the water sooner than later!
talk about hard! props to anyone or who is a Navy Seal, some of their training is not an easy task!

What do you consider freezing, Allen??? :P
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Wow Mike, that is plenty of exercise. But if that is your private pool you get plenty of exercise just going in for a cool drink! Glad to see you are back from snow country.
