Re: Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?
This is from the last cars and coffee of the year at the Collectors Car Garage, I usually don't take a pic of my car there but I did today.
So about the GoPedal...O M G! I couldn't have been MORE wrong about this mod! I had it in my head to do mods that actually power instead of one that just enhances things. Now it may just enhance the throttle but without this mod the car just feels like it's chained down. I have it on the sport + setting with sensitivity all the way up, gotta actually relearn how to take off now....IT THAT MUCH FUN
I paid 1/3 of the cost but to be honest it's worth full price (I paid $100.00) My buddy couldn't get it to stick on the lower dash area but actually installed it on the carpet next to the console, great spot for it actually. The rest of the install was easy, plug and play, only needing to disconnect and reconnect the battery, done!
If one of these throttle enhancers is available for your car...GET IT!

Re: Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?
After my 3rd time in a row with the Abarth, going down to the Dragon, it's time to stiffen up the rear of the car. I was directed to a link on Fiat Tech where a guy used KYB shocks for an 84-87 Corvette, along with some bushings for the shocks and it works. The said he could compress the stock Abarth tuned shocks with his arms and hands, not so much with the KYB's. The total cost here is $80.00, which pales in comparison to what adjustable Koni yellows cost for my car which is about $350.
Further enhancements come with swapping out the rear coils and rear coils only. You see the car sits up pretty high in the rear and under hard braking situations, well let's just say things feel a little "light" in the rear. One of the shops I deal with, 500 Madness, has been known to sell just rear lowering springs to some people, I'm going to check into this over the winter.
Now that the car makes really good power it's time to direct some attention to the suspension, well besides the 28 mm rear bar I had added last year. A new set of tires and wheels will be added but that's just long overdue, stay "tuned" 🇮🇹

...future look, what does everyone think?
More pics coming down the road but a new look is coming spring of 2017 as I will have the car for 3 years at that point. I will be getting new wheels then as well, so it's going to be an entirely new look. I'm actually going to Tire Rack in South Bend Indiana next Saturday to inspect the new wheels in person. I plan on buying 1 wheel and taking it home and placing it in our living room so I can stay motivated through the winter

Although I'm geared towards the Italian stripe on the car it's possible it stays. I will have the hood and front bumper done first and really look at it, time will tell.
My buddy, Derek0609, is going to Photoshop the front and rear for me, that's going to really help as well.
I'm thinking about going with matte finish rather than glossy.
