You could go to Harbor Freight and get a DA for $50, keep it as a back up.

Sorry to hear that. From what I've heard, Griot's customer service is top notch. Get with them immediately and they should help you out. Sucks you're that far into a detail and it dies, though.

I contacted griots already. I just have to send it back. I don't do it full time just as a hobby. I'm full time military so this is for fun.

Lesson learned. Chalk it up to experience.
Could have been worse...spindle separation or other paint damaging action.
