If I ever saw someone molest my car in such a way, I'd tackle them and call the police and make the f*cker pay, only so that MY insurance rates don't go up because of someone else's lack of respect towards my own property.
There are rotten people in the world who just do bad things for no reason. They have absolutely no good reason other than to see people hurt from the aftermath of the event. These are the kinds of people who run rampant in our world and destroy it little by little.
I know it's just paint on a car, but to a car guy, it hurts and it's just downright despicable.

I had 2 cars vandalized (keyed from end to end) in my life and both were in upscale mall parking lots. Watching this pains me to no ends.
It looks like he targeted only the high end vehicles and this simply could be a case of jealousy or a nut case who is trying to make a statement.
I worked for a large department store and several years back...someone slashed all the leather sofas we had out on display with a razor blade during Xmas. These weren't the garden variety furniture. Each unit were retailed at $6K to $10K. Close to a quarter of million dollars worth of inventory became worthless in an instance. Again, he only targeted the high end models.
I sure hope they catch this guy and make him pay for the damages.
