    Attention: Reaching your maximum potential...

...in life. How? What does this have to do with detailing, or operating a detailing business, or any part of our lives for that matter?

    NOTE:
Clciking on the link at the bottom of the page may offend some of you. If it does offend you please be professional enough to refrain from posting and hijacking my thread. This thread is meant to encourage people in a way that, before, they might not have considered. So please, don't contribute to this thread if you have nothing encouraging to say to those that might need encouraging.

So, what does this have to do with detailing, or operating a detailing business, or any part of our lives for that matter? I want those, myself include, who are trying to start a detailing business (or any othe type of business) to be successful. Sometimes in planning, and in retrospect, we forget one of the most important things.

Bare with me folks...I'll get to my point in a moment, but first I have to lay a little groundwork, or foundational bricks, if you will.

Do any of you remember Mike Phillips' article: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...potential.html ? For those that recall this article the paint on this auto required special care and attention along with extra effort to take the paint to it's maximum potential (the rest of you click on the link above).

Since joining Autogeek I've met some really nice folks both in person and through posts and pm's on our forum. I've had the opportunity to give some encouragement to folks, both in detailing and in their personal lives. I've never once failed to reply to a pm. Why? Because I'm all about helping out when I can with every ounce of energy and know-how that I have. I enjoy sharing knowledge and giving encouragement...even when I need it myself at times.

This is about giving of yourself when you really don't have anything to give. Time, money, words, an ear. It's about encouraging others when you're in desperate times yourself. Helping when you need help. Blessing others first, so that you may receive a blessing later.

I really like Mr. Phillips' philosophy of, "Each one, teach one," and we can apply this in so many ways in our lives. I just love it. Thanks Mr. Phillips!

The knowledge I have to offer as a detailer isn't much, it's all I have. I'm learning new things each and every day as I learn more and more in a field that is relatively new to me.

Even though some of us try to learn as much as we can, be as professional as we can, mentor as best we can, and teach as best we can, some of us...hobbyists, detailing busineses, and humans in general...haven't reached our maximum potential. Why? Is it because we're not putting forth extra effort...more than 100%? How do we do that?

Well, here's my point folks. Someone shared with me today the link below. Folks, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I share it with you because...well...maybe it can show you what you've been missing in order to take your business and your life to it's maximum potential. It will require something on your part, though it will require more than...

    ... Mathematics

    Hey Bill,

When I click on the link this is what I get...

    The address wasn't understood

Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (mhtml) isn't associated with any program.

I think we all have more work to do.

Of all the people in my life that could have shared this with me, it was my dad who was looking out for me. Thanks, Dad! I love you, so much.
