    Noise cancelling

My ears are still ringing from the last airline flight. Had to crank my earbuds way the heck up just to overcome some of the cabin and engine noise. Any suggestions on a set of good, affordable noise cancelling headphones? My budget is $80 max. I was looking at Bose's offerings, but the price is way out of my reach.

Thanks, Mark. I'm going to do some research. Heard that Skull Candy is a pretty good brand.

Also, look into Klipsch S3 & S4 headphones. Both are in your budget price.

Hope the local Best Buy or CompUSA carries them. Gonna check them out. Thanks!

    earbud or headphones?

id get noise isolating (not active canceling) earbuds for convenience.

the skullcandys earbuds arent too bad. just stay away from their headphones

if youre getting headphones, stay away from the beats. overpriced fashion statement.

budget and headphones are mutually exclusive to me so i cant recommend a good AND cheap set.

I have the Klipsch s4 earbuds and they really help me out when I am vacuuming or polishing for long periods of time. The Klipsch earbuds are noise isolating and not noise cancelling. Meaning that they reduce the decibel level of background noises but they do not eliminate background noises like a pair $300+ Bose headphones will.

I have been using them for about 3 months now and my ears are one less thing that hurts after a long day of detailing.

Definitely headphones. Earbuds hurt like crazy after only 10 minutes.
Nah, I don't like the Beats at all. Guess I'll have to do more research. Yeesh, and I thought deciding on an LSP was hard. This is just as difficult, if not impossible. LOL

I would look at the Sony noise canceling headset. Sony makes very good products and I think BestBuy carries them. I have the Bose EQ15 and always take them with me when I fly, not only do they sound great but they do an awesome job of canceling out the jet engine sound.
