I've purchased a bunch of stuff from our PA close out store chain called Ollie's. They bought out a line of car detailing items that were marketed under NASCAR. I've purchased tire, carpet, and wheel well brushes all about $2.50. Several tire foam applicators for around $2. 4 packs of foam and microfiber wax applicator disks $1.49. Windshield microfiber cloths like the kind you clean your glasses with but about 6x6" marked Goodyear about $1.50 for 2. I got some nice large microfiber towels for drying the car at Big Lots for about $5 each.
Thanks for the Sally's tip. I've got one very close by and never thought of them for bottles.
Learning to detail for fun and to show my 96 Ford SVT Cobra, Black. My dad always said I was going to wax the paint right off my car. Would wax every weekend. GG 6" DAP

BUMP just in case anyone missed this - the Sam's Club microfibers don't lint, they are extremely soft, and very plush after the first wash. After years using them for a multitude of purposed, they just blow me away...
FOR LESS THAN 50 CENTS EACH!!!!!!!
You can even buy 4 different colors, and keep interior separate from paint, and wheels separate from glass! WOW.

I get those too. great deal. I have seen "premium" towels out there and they aren't any different. I use one color just for windows and another just for wax. once they get a little bit tired they get used as "beat towels" for general cleaning.

This is what I do, after I use the microfibers about five times, I designate them as wheel-only rags, now I have hundreds, haha!
I would like to eventually try one of the 360-600g ultra-plush microfibers and see the difference, as well as try the waffle weave towels on glass. Hmmm. No restrictions sale anyone, FLEX 3401!

I buy these a lot for wheel wells, undercarriage, and engine. Wash first because the leave lint when new

I'd love to see the Sam's Club Microfibers side-by-side in a picture with the 300-600g plush specialty detail microfibers... and also on a digital scale.
