    Blenheim Auto Groomers New Zealand

G'day guys. At last I've managed to upload some pics of our little shop down here in New Zealand. We have been running since March & all is going well so far. Blenheim is a small town of around 30000 population. Mostly its just myself doing the detailing, with my lovely lady looking after all the hard stuff like paper work, numbers, computer stuff etc.

Great looking shop and good luck!

I like the artwork and the VW!!

What's the round canister on the drivers side of the VW for?

    Nice shop!

Hey Bobby, I think the canister is a type of air conditioner. I remember seeing one on a neighbor's '57 Ford. He said it was an air conditioner he added because of his wife's asthma. Don't recall how it worked exactly, but I think it worked.

Thanks mate. Yeah, even after nearly 17 years detailing, going it alone & spending our hard earned cash to open for business is a really scary thing but three months have gone by & absolutely love it. Funny how working for wages the hours seem to take longer than working for yourself though. Thanks for your comment.

Cheers Bobby! So far so good. Stoked you like the artwork - all done by myself. Love the VWs. The canister type thing on the side of our Dub is a Thermador Car Cooler. Firestone made them also. Fascinates people here in NZ too but kinda thought they were common over there? They slot in between the window & door pillar, it has vents on the interior side & a large intake vent on the outside. The faster ya go, the more air blows in. Some people tell me you can fill it with ice to act as an airconditioner but i'm unsure what the deal would be when the ice melts? Hahaha. Thanks for the comments Bobby!

Thanks man. Yep - pretty much on the money with the car cooler. Was under the impression that they were common over there. A great period accessory & a hell of a conversation starter.
