    1951 Studebaker & 1956 Chevy Bel Air

    1951 Studebaker & 1956 Chevy Bel Air

Two of my friends are supposed to come by the studio tonight to check out our operation,

If they do I'll take some pictures and post them to this thread. I've seen them both and they're pretty cool...

Jim and Dave both came by, Jim brought his 1951 Studebaker and Dave brought his 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG

Here's Jim's 1951 Studebaker... the paint is single stage black and 100% completely thrashed...

Here's a side shot of the rear fender with no flash... paint doesn't look to bad from this perspective...

Here's the same shot with the flash on... ouch... kind of hurts your eyes to look at swirls on such a cool classic car...

Here's the original Flathead 6 engine...

This car should be back next Thursday for an EXTREME makeover... as soon as I confirm I'll get the sign-up thread created.

If you've ever wanted to rub out a single stage paint here's your chance...

Here's Dave's AMG, I'm not too good at taking good shots in the dark yet but working on it...

Dave brought his friend Jim with him to check out Autogeek's Show Car Garage and Jim rode in on his Can Am Spyder...

We'll likely see both of these guys and their rides back to Autogeek in the future...

As a kid growing up in the 50's I hated 'Studs'...ya know, butt ugly etc. But seeing them now, it's "Geeze, those were kinda neat."

    Looking forward to this one...

They were before my time but I agree with you, when I was younger I though they were pretty ugly... compared to the body styles of the average cars today though at least they're unique looking...

1951 was the last year for the bullet nose. I worked on a 1950 that's kind of similar to this 1951 but a little cleaner in the body lines...
