no wonder they advertise pledge can be used on autos

was helping my aunt move and was going through all her stuff and found a tin of Johnson's Auto Wax. this is the same Johnson's company that makes pledge as well as other products we all know. now i know why they advertise pledge can be used on auto's and motorcycles. this tin is labled copyright 1945. just thought this was an interesting find. and yes i know the little stand it is on is filthy. lol

this is still soft. you can see the finger print i put it in.

Wow. Cool find. Doesn't look like it's ever been used, or used very little at best.

Guess it worked better on furniture, so they changed the name to Pledge.

Oh boy, does that bring back memories.

That stuff was a bear to remove, worse than Simonize. But back then we didn't know or think about; thin baby thin!

Needless to say, it is a carb wax.

How does it smell, a nice 'wax smell'? If it still does, probably still is good.

Where's Mike P when we need him...oh that's right, he's on his way to Vegas.

They aren't the only ones to have had furniture care products as part of their heritage.

i am fully aware Meg's started has a funiture polish but i think Johnson's went the opposite way. started as a auto wax but ended up furniture polish
