What new products would you like to see introduced at SEMA?

What new products would you like to see introduced at SEMA?

SEMA is where companies introduce their new products for the next year. What would you like to see introduced this year and by what company?

    I'll start....

More polishable and thicker top coats by all car manufactures on every vehicle they manufacture.

I know that's not going to happen but that's what I would like to see announced at SEMA by all the participating car manufacturers.

The top coat being sprayed by car manufactures is too thin and some paints just don't polish very well because they are either too soft or too hard. Seems like after all these years the paint manufactures and the car manufactures could get this issued dialed-in.

    Next....

I couldn't agree more. I would also like to see a much more permanent trim restorer that isn't a dye or paint. Something that darkens and maintains that appearance we all love. I can only do so much with trim and I get questions about why it's faded again after a few weeks. I can dream right?

A sprayable version of the "permanent" coatings currently being offered. I would love to put Opti-coat on my mesh-style wheels, but it would take way too long by wiping it on.

I agree with what Mike said. I would like to see more paint coatings and just products that make detailing easier.

    Meguiar's:

    - Ultimate Rinseless (or Waterless) Wash
    - The return of the Gold Class brush lineup
    - Pneumatic mini-buffers from last year actually making it to market finally
    - A paint coating product for the US like the Mirror Glaze they announced for Asian and Euro markets last year
    - G110v3

    Optimum:

    - Opti-Guard for vinyl, plastic, and fabric/carpet (I know that is actually in the works, a SEMA debut would be awesome)
    - Opti-Coat booster product to compete with ReLoad and Permanon
    - Trim restorer and protectant to equal or surpass GTechniq C4
    - Paint/exterior decontamination system that does what IronX/TarX, the FK system, and ValuGard ABC do, but all in one step.
    - Paint prep along the same lines as CP Eraser

    FLEX:

    - Adjustable handles for the entire line-up to make working at odd angles more ergonomically friendly.

I think that about covers the main things I'm looking for.

I am always open to new ideas. One thing I would like to see is someone come out with is a low profile quick disconnect system for rotary BPs that can be used with current threads on both machine and backing plates.

The new Optimum MF cutting/finishing discs.

    The new Blackfire series.

More polishes that work better with the MF finishing disc.
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

I would like to see some Lake Country 3" pads with beveled edges. Cyan & Tangerine. I have the Griot's Garage 3" Tangerine and love em, but would like to see more variety.
