    Unhappy Wanting to order, but.....

I am one of the many people whom does not have nor want a credit card. I want to order from AG, but they don't take money orders. Why is this? I only get mine from the post office. If I get any taxes back and they are enough, I would like to order in the future. Would AG take debit cards? Thanks.

As far as I know, bank issued debit cards that have the Visa logo on them work just like a credit card, have 16 digit numbers, expiration dates and 3 digit CVV numbers on the back of the card.

The only difference is that the credit card is funded by a line of credit while the debit card is funded by your checking or savings account.

I use a Visa debit card quite often to make purchases over the phone and online and when companies ask what kind of card, I tell them Visa, give them the number and expiration date and I have never been questioned as to whether it was a credit card or a debit card. As long as the funds are available and the merchant can obtain approval, you should have no problem at all making a purchase at AG using a bank-issued debit card, as long as it has the Visa or MasterCard logo.

Thank you. Now I can delete from favorites another site I found the frames I was looking for. I don't know how long it will be before I order, as like I said, I don't know if I'll get anything back, when, etc. That plus my brakes are in need of some care. Would this be locked now since you've answered my questions?

You don't want to have a credit card? How are you planning to have credit history?

Kind of impossible to pay much of anything with my rate of pay. Anyways, my '00 cavalier is paid off, so that's how the Impala is in my name instead of my wife's. If I ever do get a credit card I'm probably going to go for Visa. But I have to pay alot other things off first.

You definitley need some type of credit, when built up it can be a life saver at times and allow you to access funds you may really need and wouldn't have had otherwise. I'd get at least one credit card to pay some of your otehr stuff off and pay on that one card. You can even geta secured line yourself from a bank for a couple hundred dollars that'll keep you in check since it's your funds, but will report on credit as an extra line.

Beleive me it will help in the long run

Sometimes if you had great credit history in the past (some people just decide to cut up their cards so lines are still there just unused), or even if your starting out and just don't have much credit. Sometimes a lender will want something currect so in my case I can setup financing with alternative tradlines such as cell phone bills, satellite tv, really anything that's paid as an installment or consecutively. But not every lender accepts that, and its a pain.

But like Scott mentioned Paypal should be fine to use.
