Poll: Pictures or Videos in Show and Shines
This thread is not meant to upset anyone, I was just curious. I have seen a lot of people going to videos only in their show and shine write ups. I personally don't care for the videos at all, and generally will skip over them. I think it's because I like to sit and look at pictures for a while, and a video doesn't really allow that. I was just hoping to hear others thoughts. Discuss away!!!

Personally I love pics not vids... I can come back to the pics anytime without having to watch a portion of it before... but if it is a short vid I don't mind so much...

I don't mind videos that show someone working....washing, using their rotary/da etc. But the slideshows are just meh.
It's hard to beat a writeup w/ good pics via a DSLR.

I like a combination of both. Pics are crucial for show n shines, but video's of the process are nice as well. Still shots always have better quality in my opinion.

I prefer videos that showcase my work, process, as well as interesting commentary.
It seems I have developed quite the following from the videos I post. I'm not much for stills, they're boring to me.

I like both, but often come back to view pictures more than once.

I think it really depends on the video. You have a particular style with your videos that makes them entertaining, informative, and worth watching. Others I've seen don't come up to that standard.
Personally I feel that there's a lot of value in using both formats depending on what you're trying to show. You can't get the same amount of visual detail from a video that you can get with good stills shot with a DSLR.

Thanks a bunch, Charlie. I appreciate that.
I will post pics with my videos from now on for those that prefer pics.
Unfortunately you can never make everyone happy, but I will try my best.
