Why would a matte vehicle need a wax? Just curious. I have seen the CG Meticulous Matte on a new Camaro and it looks great.

It's all about protecting against future problems.

Good question. Factory matte is the same as all other paints. Base coat/clear coat.

I have the CG matte detail, but that is just a quick detailer, not an actual sealant. It is used as a follow up to a wax or sealant. Same as a quick detail spray for glossy finishes.

Now because matte clear coats are the same as gloss clear coats with regards to protection and sealing, only different products are used. They are extremely sensitive and can easily be damaged with wrong procedures.

Swissvax Opaque Wax is used as a protective sealant, and not a gloss intensifier. It will last a DD for 6-12 months, garage queens for even longer. It will not make the car shine, at best it will make the satin finish more intense and crisp.

I have looked at other matte sealants, and I went with Swissvax because this wax has been on the market for over 5 years now; no problems, and it is very easy to market due to its chic reputation.

I also went with their wash over the CG one or other ones out there because I am hooked on Swissvax products; like nothing you have ever used. Also because when the car comes back in for a maintenance wash, I don't want to strip that wax off. I do not know exactly how the CG one is formulated, so I went with the Swissvax Bath.

This is my order. Just some bogo, can't wait to try CG diablo!!!

I have another order coming in but it's from amazon because I received a gift card. It contains a foam gun, Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant 3.0 (expensive!!!!), and some Adams Jumbo size quick detailer!!!! (heard rave reviews on this stuff)

I didn't realize factory matte paint has a clear coat.
