I was planning on using the MF Pads. I already have the 5" MF system.

Then the S3BP is your answer.

I also got one myself and you can see it in my previous order.

Marc congrats on the new DA!
How the Flex? I don't know if I would benefit from getting one since I already have a Makita.

    Thanks Gary!

I like the Flex 3401 a lot! It's a very well built and high quality tool. I think the correction power is great with 6.5" foam pads because of its forced rotation nature. I think that it's a great tool to have especially if you're starting out with a D/A.

However, if you already have a rotary and a second generation D/A then the 3401 might not be very useful IMO. It's a tool to fill the gap in between IMO.

    Re: Post Your Unpacking Pictures

Today at work, I got to test out our new DA. We had a beat up RX350 and I did some corrections on the hood. Used white wool with Dewalt and got to work. The M105 did a great job in taking most of the scratches off, but left lots of holograms on the hood.

Then I used the DA with tangerine pad and M105, that took care of all the holograms.

I normally pick up my DA when correcting but the rotary+wool pad is one of my favorite for beaters.

I personally think the 3" Meg's BP is too small to use with 4" pads. The Meg's 3" BP actually measures 2 7/8". That's not enough support for a 4" pad.

    I'd follow Mark's advice. I haven't used my S3BP yet.
