There are times that I don't Envy those who live in Florida
It's probably payback for not having to deal with blizzards all winter long.

I'll gladly take a month of love bugs over 5 months of snow ANY day. The bugs can certainly be a pain in the butt, which is why I carry this combo around with me.
5 minutes a day of removing bugs is much better than 15 minutes of clearing off your car while it heats up every morning.

That would be a nightmare ... hitting bugs while riding my bike already is bad enough, I can't imagine hitting those at freeway speeds. It would be like getting shot with a BB machine gun.

Bill, those love bugs are wretched little sacks of acid and Skybaby is not aloud to go very far until the season is over. She got out this weekend but we couldn't go more than a couple miles before we had to turn around. The Lovebugs like shiny things and water so they hang out near strip malls, lakes, etc. Right around my neighborhood they don't get too bad but last year I learned where NOT to go during LB season. I got up for a saturday run with Sky and we were off to our usual drive spot which includes some very nice winding roads away from the traffic around a lake. Everything was fine with no LB in sight. It was a bout time to turn around and I went to make a left on a state road to get on it a minute before turning around. As soon as I made that left I saw the error of my ways. THEY "the others" were everywhere!! Swarming like locusts from a biblical plauge! Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Well, I just wanted to stop and put it in reverse but it was a 55 mph road with cars coming up fast! I had to step on it for about 100 feet of extreme torture before having a spot I could make a U-turn. Skybaby has been traumatized ever since and refuses to go more than a few miles from the house during LB season.

It's not that bad, as long as you keep your mouth closed.

It looks like they are pretty much gone around the Tampa area. (for now)
