    what's everyone doing for exercise these days?

    was curious what does everyone do to stay in shape?

    also if you would like to mention, what kind of diet are you on?

    what are your goals as well?

    Any sane person would stop at detailing for ten hours a day. But my eight year old doesn't pay attention to that. We also have a few mountains here that desperately want me to climb 'em, and a sweet ice rink that I'm addicted to.

    Diet = Various polishes with a dash of carnauba.

    Goal = Drive into town without seeing swirls.

    I try to ride my bike everyday. Twice around my neighborhood. I also try to do sit-ups and push-ups at night every other day, but it's pretty hard to stay consistent because I'm kinda lazy. I've been told I have high cholesterol, so I eat a bowl of Cheerios every morning and try to eat lean meats and avoid too much carbs. It's working out alright, but I think I was happier when the doctor had me on Crestor.

    I exercise five to six days a week. I run (did 4.9 miles today), ride a mountain bike or road bike, or hit the gym. I try and run or ride the bikes 5 days a week with less strength training. I'm in the military so I'm paid to stay in shape.
    I'm running a half marathon next weekend and have run two 5K races so far this year. I've done some mountain bike racing in the past but I'm working on running now. After the half, I'm training for a Triathlon in May with a couple shorter running races in between.

    I try not to drink soda and limit my beers. My diet isn't the best because I like to eat. I sometimes say I run so I can eat what I like and I like cookies.

    Today (typical week day) did a 45 minute walk, 20 minute lift, then a 25 mile ride on a mountain bike.

    Weekends are a bit more, during the summer I will usually get in at least one 3-4 hour bike ride.

    I am not currently training for anything, taking a break after finishing my second Iron Man last year. Mainly keeping up my fitness, and allowing myself to eat like I want to.

    Diet- usually skip breakfast (cutting a bit of weight currently), lunch - salad, dinner pretty healthy, but Fridays are my free day

    /seriously, I need to get serious about some cardio. Probably eliptical to keep from further annoying my knees...

    I've been doing P90x for two years and love it. I wish they would have had this program when I was 16. It's also changed my eating style. You don't diet, you change your eating habits. Fruit and veggies are now a daily routine. I've cut back in the junk but still have the occasional potato chip and I'll never quit ice cream.
