Met a fellow Autogeek Member this past week!

I was on vacation in New Zealand for the past 2 weeks and met up with "MATT" from Autogeek while i was there. He lives in the same city as my sister. We spent a few hours talkin about american cars vs. new zealand cars and more BS and drank some beer. Real cool guy and had a lot of fun.

Matt, tell Alvin (i think thats his name) Hi and it was nice talkin and meetin you guys!

i was goin to take a pic for the forum, but forgot.

Vacation was awesome, did a 440ft Bungee Jump down in Queenstown. 4th highest in the world and did a LOT more. a couple pics below.

Discussion Forums make the world a smaller place... very cool you could put a face to an Avatar in New Zealand!

Bungee Jumping is flat out crazy! I'd take my Sanger Drag boat over 100 miles per hour in a few seconds and hold the throttle down till I was across the lake but you couldn't pay me to jump off a cliff with a rubber band around my waist...

Definitely makes it a smaller place. Its weird to be half way around the world, almost at the bottom of the globe, and to see someone that i know, whether from a forum or anywhere/thing else!

hahahaha. one thing that helped was knowing this jump is rated #1 in the world for Quality. so that was very nice to know. Sangers are nice!!!!

i had more of a rush from this than skydiving. Something about being able to see that land that close makes it that much better! and no, i was not scared at all!!!! lol. It was my first Bungee ever, so i figured id go all out!!! theres 304 different places to jump in New Zealand, but this is the biggest.

Matt, dont foget pics of the HSV when its done!!!

I think that's pretty darn cool! You know, it would be nice to know what all the great folks at Autogeek look like. I've looked around a bit other than Mike everyone else is still lurking in the shadows.

You should come to our Bridge Day then. 876ft drop. Happens 3rd Saturday of every October. We have people from all over the world come to BASE jump off the New River Gorge bridge.

Hey Greg it was great to meet you. Alvin and I had a great time talking with you, it was interesting to get a different perspective on things here and to hear about things in Ohio.

Glad to hear you had a great time here, hopefully some more "Autogeekians" will come this way some time.

    Best regards,
    Matt.

its cool learning about new cars and NZs ways of life. you guys dont have the crime, greedy people, and everyone there works there butts off without complaining (like most people in the US do, LOL) you guys got it good down there. and you got some sweet cars down there that we dont get, mainly diesel midsize pickups!

if my sister decides to move back in the next few years, i may be visiting again!!
