So if too much $$ for in the plan, my second would be to go Magnaflow's Overland kit for it. Still sounds good and being a ZR2 it tucks up tighter than Borla or Corsa.
Just my thoughts. But Borla does sound good answering your question.

Re: BORLA cat back exhaust
I had one on an Explorer and hated it. The drone in the truck when cruising on the highway was unbearable that I took it off.

LS2's I had heard they pushed it some more after those and were one of the first that swapped in LS7's. A Pontiac Solstice or Saturn Sky... such beautiful little cars that didn't get the love they should have. But then guys like Chuck gave them alot of love, lol.

I have a Borla S-Type on my Mach 1. Fit and finish is among the best out there as far as Mustangs go. I can't imagine that would not be true with other kits they sell.

You can check out aFe Power too. They have a pretty cool "Hi-Tuck" system for the ZR2 that keeps it away from crush zones. They have some really high quality exhaust systems. I have a full system on my GLI that I really enjoy.
Full disclaimer: I used to work for them so I am a bit biased towards, but high quality products.

AFE makes good stuff too. A co-worker has an intake and catback on his 5.0 F150, sounds great.
