IMHO the inline 6 was the perfect engine... pretty built-proof too.
Sounds like me in 30 years Im the MAN
Yup, don't see many of those being taken off-road.

Lol.
I was just ribbing you, Roger. [emoji3]
I agree with you. But the brain-dead masses want to tell their friends at the office that they have a Hellcat engine in the newest Jeep.
Even though the most “Off-roading” they will ever do will be accidentally running over the curbs in their parking lots.
Those are the people who make up our society now. All money, little brain. And the manufacturers know it………

Bag on Jeeps all you want, but I went to Jeep the Mac last spring and you’d all be shocked at the amount of new Jeeps that were wheeling on Drummond Island.
I’ve mentioned this on here before, but I’ve had plenty of smart ass comments from strangers about having a “pavement Jeep” because mine happened to be freshly detailed or washed at that moment (gas station, daily commute etc). But it does get used, 4 lo, lockers engaged and sway bars disconnected.
I see nothing wrong with a 392 in a Wrangler.
Feel free to rip on Jeep Wranglers with “angry grills” though.
I'm sure my comments could be perceived as "bagging on them" and I'll admit I'm not an off-road person at all. I do know there was an uproar from the Jeep community when they stopped making the inline 6 and it seemed to go down hill from there in various forms. Now a HEMI fixes everything, I don't think so and for 75 large its not for the real enthusiast but that holds true for many vehicles today. The price on some older stuff is going up because people don't want all this tech or an E-Jeep either for that matter, would love to know how these focus groups are conducted when coming up with these "ideas"[emoji848]
The focus groups should "focus" on quality, not just talk about it, the time for talk is over[emoji56]

Reading before this came out, there’s a custom company that put in Jellcat motors but they don’t fit where jeep feels comfortable.
It would compromise crumple zones. Alot of jeep drivers were waiting for this as you see alot of older ones with 350’s stuffed in them.
This is just a last hurrah before Chrysler kills off the Hemi’s in 2023. High end chargers and challlengers will be coming with turbo 6’s

Cool vehicles but I personally would have way more fun with the $$$ They are asking for them.
I think it's fantastic what the factory is offering today in means of horsepower! But the vehicles are way out of reach of the average working man or woman! But fact remains they sell like hot cakes.
