There is a competitor that is even better than the Sant Cruz. The Ford Maverick. Ford and Hyundai have re created the small pick up market and it's a huge hit!

It's to expensive in the upper trims and for how small it is it still doesn't get great fuel mileage. The Maverick hybrid has peaked my interest, but they haven't hit the lots yet and are probably gonna be hard to get a hold of.

I daily drive a 2019 F150 screw to work...125 mile round trip. I love it. I average 22mpg, and that's with a lift, larger tires on aftermarket wheels, and a tune. The ride and the interior room is excellent. Hell, I rarely even use it as a truck. I've hauled more stuff for other people than I have for myself, but it's good to know I got it if I need it.

Not sure about the Santa Cruz, but the Ford offer a bed extender for the Maverick.
