Re: Daily sap on car...the war is on, could use some advice!

Ok, first of all the pic was taken @8:50 p.m. CST, sorry about the lighting. So I put my daughter to bed and decided to Foam the car down and see if the sap would just rinse away...it did! I actually foamed the car, let it sit, rinsed and foamed it again and rinsed. The first foaming did it but why not, right. I did no 2BM but did use free flowing water for the final rinse, man having a hose again is niceDaily sap on car...the war is on, could use some advice! I dried the entire car with the Sucker Jr, dried the jams and wiped the tires/wheels real good, also the engine bay, my normal routine. Now the car sits until we head to C&C tomorrow morning. Speaking of that, can't wait to see what turns up tomorrow, the shows have been killing it lately.

I guess it's good that the sap comes off with a simple foaming with pretty normal car wash soap, just wish the car was perfect for when I leave, maybe I'll get up an hour early and knock it out right before the show in the futureDaily sap on car...the war is on, could use some advice!Daily sap on car...the war is on, could use some advice!Daily sap on car...the war is on, could use some advice!

I am glad that it washed right off. Parking under a tree can be a curse with sap, leaves and bird deposits but it can also be a blessing. It's great to work in the shade.

    ***UPDATE***

So after mentioning this to the landlord he called his tree guy to come out for an estimate on trimming all the trees. Everything is being trimmed this Thursday @ 8 a.m. When I come home from work that day I hope this helps or eliminates the problem, what do you guys thinkDaily sap on car...the war is on, could use some advice!

I think it’ll for sure help. Having parked my car in the garage recently since I mostly drive my company vehicle (never thought an Altima would be my “fun car, but anyway...) it’s insane how much of a difference it makes.

There’s just so much crap floating around in the air outside. You wash that far often enough it probably won’t be a huge deal, but I do hope the sap issue is at least eased up after the trimming to tolerable levels.

In the future I definitely am going to have a big garage be a requirement for any house I’m looking in to. Or at the very least a sizable carport.

    You’re stronger than me.

When my car sat outside all the time I got to a point where all I could muster was a once a week wash and had given up during the in between time.
