Re: Stimuls check
Paulie, are you back working again? I saw that in your original post and I was happy to see that. Our stimulus check was deposited today but we are both still working and do not really need it. My sister is on the verge of losing her job. My stimulus check is going to her.

No sir, UD.
Out of work since the Governor's shut down of NY on March 20th.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Re: Stimuls check
Everyone who meets to the pay threshold gets a check and that's fair. No one knows for sure how many people were just making it and how that had no longer have. I have a family member who earned well but in the construction business so before NY was shut down they were out of work pending new work two weeks before.

Re: Stimuls check
Politics aside enjoy the stimulus. Save it or spend it wisely. Stimulate the economy now or later.
I don’t qualify for one but I’m not complaining about that. I have a full time job with my salary unaffected and I’m grateful for that.

Re: Stimuls check
I agree that it should have been more diversified to get the money to people who really need it... but that being said a-lot of people will state that they made more they paid more taxes and they should receive it too.
Me, I’m indifferent. Stimulus is done and money’s going where it’s going. If people who didn’t really need the money who receive it spend it as well then the package has done what it suppose to do.
It’s when you stack it with your other chips that it then the stimulus doesn’t function as a useful tool.

Yes, something along the lines of, “Now your wallets all padded, time to pad your polisher!”

I know attorneys that make close to six figures working part time and are getting money back. I don't feel this is the best use of the money. I think people that need it should get it, and not flat out giving it to everyone. If that's the case, they should give it to everyone. I'd buy a family a months worth of food if they gave me one, I wouldn't bank it unless I really needed it.

That’s true Paul, just trying to make light of this horrible situation we’re all in. I’ve been extremely fortunate to be able to work still, but before this all hit I lost about $6500 when my car’s engine went out.
I had to close out my IRA and dip into savings just to get back on the road. I’ve never made a lot of money so I’ve not got a ton of resources as back up. So to start from virtually $0 dollars in my bank accounts at the beginning of February means my wallet certainly isn’t padded either and this $1200 is just a small part of the $6500 I lost only a couple months ago.
