All I know is I registered with the ZOOM website but never downloaded the software.
I did delete my account - on their site, it's called,
Terminate Account
And even this was a tick tricky to find in my account area.

If security is a big concern, then the WebEx suite is one of the best. Cisco is behind WebEx and security is one of Cisco's areas of expertise. But WebEx is a bit clunky compared to newer products as it started out as a document-sharing app and had its video and audio features added on later.
The guy who started Zoom used to be an engineer at Webex, before Cisco bought out WebEx.
