Re: Who else is working from home now???
I brought home both monitors, keyboard, and laptop power supply in the event that Houston is locked down this weekend....but as I'm typing this right now the Mayor Houston is on the news saying he is NOT shutting down Houston at this time! Outstanding! There are only two other officials that can shut down the city, the Governor and the County Judge. The Gov wont shut down the city at this point but the County Judge...well she's the wild card to say the least! Of course if things get worse here, then it's time to readdress the topic.

Mario Cuomo (NY Guv) said he would not shut down the state as late as Wednesday evening.
Less than 48 hours later, we are shut down. The incredible spread of this virus is becoming a stark reality.
I just hope all of my AG family takes this seriously, and STAY SAFE!.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Nothing new for me either. My job is home based. Only issue is I have no work now for a month.
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

Re: Who else is working from home now???
The Orange County Mayor has shut down the county starting at tonight's 11 PM curfew. At work yesterday we were provided documentation stating we are 'essential workers' as we deal with banking and payment systems. Most in my office are working remote, but I am still not able to access all remote systems reliably, so I have been in the office each day.

Re: Who else is working from home now???
I have had a home office since 2001 so the transition has been somewhat easy. The only problem is that I am a salesman on the road and I can't make sales calls. My customers are concentrated in the virus hotspots like Boston, New York, New Haven, Providence and Hartford. My company is deemed an essential business since we provide components to industries like power generation, wastewater processing, food processing, textiles and parcel handling. One of my customers makes thermoforming machines for Honeywell and 3M that are making N95 masks.
My wife is a mortgage underwriter and she was flooded with applications since they dropped the prime lending rate. She has set up shop at the kitchen table and will be there for some time.
