I don’t watch TV so maybe I’m not seeing things how you’re describing.. I’ve mostly seen people from the world of sports comment about it. But regardless, Kobe was somewhat of an icon so it’s natural that he garnered a large amount of respect and notoriety beyond sports.

It’s kind of crazy... I was born and raised in Los Angeles and grew up a huge Laker fan. Up until recent years where I’ve begun to show more support towards the Clippers, but for the past few months I’ve had this Kobe Bryant plaque on my dresser. It’s a sad ending. I think this is way more shocking than when Michael Jaskson died.
