    Leather Shoes

Did some searching and couldn't find a good answer on process - Planning to give my leather shoes a good cleaning this weekend (Johnston & Murphy). Will clean with CG Leather Cleaner and vent brush to remove old shoe polish and generally clean.

After I clean, should I condition, then do shoe polish, or just go straight to shoe polish? I have the CG Leather Conditioner.

If I do condition, should I wait 12-24 hours before shoe polish?

    Thanks in advance.

I love JM shoes, why? Because they come in EE widths...

I just use the stuff that comes in the tin and a shoe brush. I'd invest in some shoe trees as well.

I was never a fan of black shoe polish.

No you don't need to wait of 12-24 hours before shoe polish because i am also using CG Leather Cleaner for my shoes and also in cleaning of my car seats but i use on urgent base
i can't understand why you ask about if this is best process of cleaning so can you explain meaning of 12-24 hours wait.....?
    is this for batter results.....?

Because you posted this back in December of 2014 - 5 years ago - I'm going to guess you've already figured it out.

I didn't check out any of the info in the links provided but from what I've seen posted, the info in the links provided do answer the OP's question.

I don't think cleaning and polishing leather shoes should be Rocket Science, I know if I were to clean some leather shoes after wiping off the cleaner residue I would move onto the next step and apply the shoe polish.

Then clean up and move on in life.

It depends if the OP is using a rotary with a wool pad (which could leave holograms), or a DA with a finishing pad, which might not remove the swirls.
