SXTH Element Engineering
Incase your looking for some aftermarket support
For the record, I think the FiST is a great car from a drivers standpoint I'd take it over a FoST but the Veloster is still made and a unique car, plus you get much, much more car from Hyundai and think about it, how much did Ford put into a car they knew wasn't sticking around

Tough call. Both great cars.
I think I'd take the Ford has the usability advantage with the four doors allowing for better access to the rear seat. The Hyundia has more torque down low, so it will feel like it comes off the line quicker, but may not "sing" in the higer RPM's like the Fiesta. That's a driver style preference.
From personal experience, the one thing which would be the biggest discriminator for me would be the seats. I've never driven a Ford with Recaro seats (Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Mustang GT/Bullit) which fit me properly and were comfortable. As much as I really like some of the Fords, the seats killed any interest.

The Recaros in the FiST are TIGHT! Btw, the Veloster DOES have a door on the P/S

I don’t mind a tight seat. My issues were with the placement of the side bolsters. They just didn’t fit my body shape.
I realize the Veloster has a door...um...thing on the passenger side, but would prefer one on both sides. What Hyundai needs to do is bring the i3 N to the US. Problem solved.

If your looking for a hot hatch you can’t overlook a GTI. I loved mine. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned and certainly one of the most fun. While not a hatch, a Civic SI should be looked at as well

Re: Hyundai Veloster R-Spec Vs. Ford Fiesta ST
As a resident Ford girl on here I think I'd go with the Hyundai...
1. Yes, unfortunately Ford is doing away with their car line in the US. Not sure how that will affect parts availability down the road...
2. Hyundai has a great warranty.
3. Screw 4 doors! Only thing I hate about my RS.
Side note: I have the "Ford" version of the Recaros in my RS and I would LOVE for them to be tight. Unfortunately unless it's a baby seat it's not gonna be tight for me
