CG air fresheners
Gentlemen. I have a quick question. so after I detail my cars, I like them to smell goo inside. Finishing touch. Now chemical guys offers some amazing scents. Problem is, they last a half hour. Not even. I thought it was just my nose getting used to the smell but, I made people step into the car and asked them if they smelt anything. My brother said, what should I be smelling? I bought four different scents and I feel like I wasted my money on it. Does anyone on here have any tips or tricks? Thank you guys.

This CG offering might fill that bill:

•Buy something along the line of
the above “vented containers”:
-place a spongy-type of material—that’s
been doused with the CG scent of your choos-
ing— into the containers;
-then place the container(s) under the seats,
and/or in the cup holders/console, etc.
•The scent will waft throughout the
vehicle’s cabin for quite a long while.

That is a brilliant idea!

Re: CG air fresheners
Try spraying the CG stuff into your air conditioning intake (usually in the passengers floorboard area). This will disperse the smell throughout the vehicle.
I’ve bought most of CGs scents. Cherry is a favorite. The only one I did not like was the lemon-lime scent, it didn’t smell like lemon or lime, pretty horrible actually.

Re: CG air fresheners
I usually start by removing the cabin filter and giving it a good cleaning. Once it's been cleaned I reinstall it and run about a full 8-12 oz can of that stuff that kills germs and flu virus through the cowl intake with the AC on high and set to fresh air. Once that cycles through the fan inlet, I let it sit for a obout an hour with the doors open or windows opened. I replace the old filter with a new filter and a run it for about 5 minutes and then spray my choice of air freshener inside. Lengthy and at your own risk but I've used this method on all my new to me cars and even some of my leased vehicles. Odors get trapped in the condensor so get that handled is key unless the car is new. As a side tip, run your heater for all least 15 minutes to dry out the evap coils. This prevents musty smells so there is no need for air fresheners unless like me you just need that refreshed fragrance in the morning.

Re: CG air fresheners
Dakota scent pads, google it, they're cheap and last a long time. The few I smelled have smelled very good. But, if you want scents like stripper or beer, CG will be your only option. Dakota has like 22 scents iirc. I like some of the CG ones, they only (5 years since I've used one) lasted for me like 3-5'ish days. And a few days after using the stripper one, I had a female get in my car and she said
"wow, whatever chick you had in here recent has some pretty awful perfume"
"huh?" (then I remembered the stripper spray lol) "nope, no female, that's a car freshener I sprayed"
she laughed "suuuuure, they make a car scent called cheap hooker? I totally believe you."
"close, it's actually called Stripper Scent"
"uh huh, whatever you say"
While she didn't believe me, CG did a bang up job on the scent, her guess was pretty close. It's pretty remarkable the way CG was able to capture what you'd imagine a uh, woman of that type would smell like.
