I saw Matt Farahs track run. He was very impressed. Said on the road the DCT was a bit clunky. Tends to he fairly typical of DCT boxes.

•I’ve seen the drive train, from one end
to the other, on a couple of the latest
    pre-production iterations of the Corvette:

•I’ll post my thoughts/opinion on how it
propels the actual production iterations of
    the latest Corvette—after I’ve had a chance
    to test drive them.

Re: New mid engine Corvette. July 18th.

Jalopnik has a good summary of many reviews here: 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette: Here's What Everyone Says About How It Actually Drives

What I find really interesting is a base spec or Z51 Corvette is not putting down numbers which beat the Z06 and ZR1 (2.8 sec 0-60?!). If that isn't justification for going mid-engined to improve performance I don't know what is.

I think it's somewhere in this thread I mused about the room in the front being available for electic power plant similar to the NSX or WEC LMP1 race cars. Several of the car magazines make the same point. If Chevy does throw an electric motor or two in the front of the Vette we're going to see a car with McClaren P1 or Porsche 918 performance levels!
