Reckon I'm a bit more "old school" with my tastes of chevys. Here's the '67 SS396 Chevelle.

And no, I don't dislike many of the later 70's Camaros, Vettes, GTO's Mustangs, Olds. Buicks. Many beauties indeed.

Re: New mid engine Corvette. July 18th.

Great questions about the C8 Mark. I'm sure the side "cove" will be enlarged for the 5.5L twin turbo in the ZO6/ZR1 models, maybe the ZO6 will get the 4.2L twin turbo DOHC V8, ZR1 getting the 5.5L twin turbo DOHC V8 and "The Zora" getting the ZR1 engine but with electric motors to power the front wheels, this giving it the magical 1000 HP, stay "tuned" ==========

New mid engine Corvette. July 18th.-5d31cb1740758f005047c5d2-1136-757-jpg

Since 1953, Corvettes have had their engines in front of the driver. But that all changed on Thursday night in Southern California when Chevy revealed the production version of the eighth-generation Vette, carrying the legendary Stingray nameplate.
The C8 Corvette, as we have long known, would find its V8 engine moved from under the long hood up front to a compartment between the driver and the rear wheels. This mid-engine design is considered optimal for balanced sports-car handling and is de rigueur on supercars from Ferrari and Lamborghini. The epic new Ford GT that won the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans also has a mid-engine design.
It wasn't as if the old C7 design wasn't successful. The racing version of the Corvette also won Le Mans and, more than any other Vette, convinced enthusiasts that the two-seater was a proper American supercar. The C7 Stingray was Business Insider's first-ever Car of the Year, in 2014.
But the writing was on the wall. Chevy needed to do something different to keep the Corvette relevant and competitive. Rumors about a mid-engine Vette have circulated for years, but this time around, General Motors finally took the plunge.
"Corvette has always represented the pinnacle of innovation and boundary-pushing at GM. The traditional front-engine vehicle reached its limits of performance, necessitating the new layout," GM President Mark Reuss said in a statement.
"In terms of comfort and fun, it still looks and feels like a Corvette, but drives better than any vehicle in Corvette history. Customers are going to be thrilled with our focus on details and performance across the board," he added.
Here's a closer look at the newest Corvette, which goes on sale later this year for a sort of staggering base price of $60,000:

I’m going to go out on a limb, and say it’s
safe to say that: since the January, 1953
debut of the EX-122 Concept/Show Car:

To the testing of the Blackjack “ute”, a mid-
    engine “concept vehicle”, (which eventually
resulted in the July, 2019 debut of the up-
    coming ME 2020):

...that the “hits have outnumbered the misses”.

    *******************************************

That’s all folks; I’m done ‘til the 2020 convertible,
and/or any of the Hi-Po variants debut.

I actually think rear end looks good but 100% With Klasse Act about being iconic. I think changes are made to the icon and those cues are taken from it and trickle down to the rest of the line not the other way around. That being said beautiful car

Also, what an evolution from that original Blue-Flame 6 banger, Bob.

Imagine if the C8 would've debuted with a version of the ATS-V TT 3.6L! Even with the same 500 hp, which would've been VERY easy to do, I bet those who like the looks wouldn't be able to see it through the modern, TT V6 power, take it to the bankNew mid engine Corvette. July 18th.

    Vettes need V8s!

Wouldn't be an American Muscle Car without a V8!
