    Removing glue residue

I'm trying to remove glue residue from my mailbox without causing damage. I tried Goo Gone with no luck.

Any suggestion on removing the glue residue without damaging the plastic mailbox would be appreciated.

How about Goof Off? Use sparingly and wipe off quickly for starters. What kind of glue is it?

Did you buy a new mailbox?

Use a hair dryer for starters. WD-40 on a microfiber and rub, rub, rub

If that doesn’t work contact the manufacturer of the glue and ask them what kind of product or chemical can remove it

Goof-off, heat gun, then plastic razor blade. Soak a rag or paper towel with the adhesive remover and hold it on the glue for a few minutes, use the heat gun after removing the soaked rag, scrape with a plastic razor blade. Repeat process until adhesive is removed.

    Re: Removing glue residue

I put the address numbers on the mail box. One number is peeling off and I have to replace the number. The glue residue is a pain to come off.

I have Goof Off, and tried it plastic before with bad result. It look like the Goof Off ate the plastic, wrinkly looking.

I rather use a liquid cleaner than heat/hair dryer.

    How much was the mailbox?

Ok, gotcha. I'd try and save that too.

Problem with plastics is, they don't play well with most adhesive remover chemicals.
