Wax vs Clear coat?
Folks on another forum were saying that with the clear coats of today that wax and sealant are a waste of time. That the clear coat will protect the paint.
I think that it is crazy after seeing all the peeling of clear coat and paint I see on cars every day on the road.
Myself I always have wax and sealers on my vehicles with no peeling.
There are statistics that show that there is a fair share of the population that have never washed their car much less waxed it.
I'm wondering if anyone has done testing on paint jobs with wax and without.
Also what are your options about this?

Re: Wax vs Clear coat?
What protects the clearcoat? Clearcoat is also paint and not only that it's the shiny paint. My car is a 2007. I would hate to think what it would look like without any protection barrier for the past 11 years.
