    Exclamation Detailing misshap.

Washed both vehicles yesterday afternoon. Escape was parked behind the Xterra. Proceeded to the Escape. Grass on both sides of the end of the driveway. This happened so quick I was in disbelief! Was on the passenger side of the the Escape washing and moving my Griots wash bucket. BAM! Found myself on my butt laying on the ground. Slipped on the wet grass. Bucket emptied, fall broke the handle on the bucket. Tried to recover, but my momentum took me down. I WAS LUCKY. No injury to myself. Could have been a trip to the hospital. Now I get to call Griots Monday to see if I can even get a replacement handle? Word of advice. BE CAREFULL OUT THERE. When on platforms etc. Slip and fall can happen anytime, anywhere. Now I now the true meaning of Pride before a fall. LOL.

Do I have to report you to OSHA? Detailing misshap.
You’re lucky that’s all that broke.

When I detail, I wear LL Bean Storm Chaser slip on shoes, not the boots but the ankle high ones. They’re water proof and have good grip.

Glad you are OK. Definitely something to be cautious of. We often get so involved In the detail that we forget ourselves. Good thread to remind people to be cautious.

    Agreed!

I used to use a short picnic bench as a step to get up into my truck bed. One day I guess I was in a hurry, and stepped down onto it wrong.

It kicked out. I fell, but was lucky enough to catch myself without smacking my head on the tailgate. Lesson learned. After that, I built a sturdy square box with non-skid on the top.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Sounds like a lawsuit to me. I am glad that you were not hurt. I have not slipped on wet grass yet. However I have slipped on ice when I do my 20 degree winter washes. The shady side of the driveway ices up and I end up flat on my back. Now I wear spikes that slip over my boots. No more issues.

I have stepped back off the step platforms and put my foot right in the wash or rinse bucket before and broke my grit guards more than once.

This is a big shout out to GRIOTS CUSTOMER SERVICE. They shipped me out a new handle on their dime. Now that's how you deal with customers!!
