    Re: Lower Back Pain

I feel your pain, although with the opposite style of seating that seems to bother you. I canít stand seats in SUVs and most trucks.

Something about the way they sit me upright just messes with my back. Probably because Iím all torso. 6í3 and a 32Ē inseam..

    Re: Lower Back Pain

So I should note, the pain seems to start after only about an hour or two, depending on type of driving. I got new shoes and started to stretch a little more. It has helped a little but the pain is still there after a while. In my old Xterra I could go about 3-4hrs before pain set in. This is why I was kinda worried since it seemed like it kicked in much sooner.

    Re: Lower Back Pain

Since exercise and stretching has been mentioned, I'll throw in my input. I'm 52 and I've had back trouble most of my life. I was a regular at the chiropractor. Around five years ago I started a routine of both standard and side planks. Within a few months my back trouble was all but gone. My back is as good as it was when I was in my early 20's. I strongly recommend them to anyone. Planks don't require any special equipment and takes just a few minutes a couple times a week.

Hmm, I'll definitely give those a shot. I remember doing those in high school for sports.

Most likely you need to go to the doctor. My back often hurt until I started doing exercises every morning for my back.

You should consult with the doctor first. When I had similar issue I asked for help massage therapist here LINKS in Calgary. It is one of the best specialists in our area, he helped me to recover in the short period of time. Only qualified specialist can prescribe you the right treatment.

Youtube- Foundation training. Properly do that 10-13 minute video every day. First few times I couldnít even finish it and Iím in decent shape. If you do it right it will wipe you out, but a couple mmths of that like reprogrammed my posture, fixed knee and back pain. Free and you donít need anything but 10 minutes and something to watch it on

    Re: Lower Back Pain

This happened to me when I bought an M4. Six months in I could hardly get out of the car. Medical doctor didn't have much for me so I went to acupuncture-- WOW that did the trick and I feel great. Then I sold the car and bought a truck.

Mercedes seats are rock hard too. Might be the hardest in the industry. To me they are super comfortable for long trips.

    Re: Lower Back Pain

It too know what you mean. Its not so much the lower seating position as it is the sport seats you have. I get the same pains when driving my 07 335i with sport seats. Switch over to my wife's e91 328 non sport package and the problem is nowhere near evident.

The seats are VERY supportive, aggressive, and clamp onto you. The flat seats in the e91 are not so much of a problem. Just gonna have to stretch/adjust when you can.
