So I made a wall flag with integrated French Cleats. I haven’t seen a French cleat flag so maybe I’m first

I’ll probably get some stars done in gray scale in vinyl or possibly leave it like this.

I know a couple of the stripes aren’t perfect. . I have a couple areas I need to touch up with stain. It was a fun idea that I wanted to try.

All 13 stripe's lower halves are 45° 3D French Cleats. This allows for shelves and random holders etc to just hang/sit in there. I made 1 test one for my wireless headphones

Grocery shopped this morning, now watching ncaa football. Smoking wings in a little bit.

I fired up my garage rebuild 5.0 today. It started and idled almost perfect.....better than it's run in years.

The only issue with the new engine is that I forgot to plug the EGR port on the front of the head (loud exhaust leak). Just need a plug for that, simple fix.

Took it out for a short drive to load the rings a bit. I'd say it's a huge sigh of relief since I've never rebuilt an engine before.

The whole plan for this engine was to last about 300 miles to get me to storage this fall and back in the spring. Looking good so far.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get back to detailing and tackle the scratch on the door of my Golf.

Imstalled new headlights (switched to led's), and assemblies in my truck. The old aftermarket assemblies lasted 3 years b4 the sun cracked them pretty bad. Cheap ebay ones. Led's are a much improvement over the old Sylvania silverstar ultras. Hard to tell in pics i think.

Also i do have the all on mod. So fogs lows and highs all on at same time.
