What did you do today non-detailing related?

My son and I remounted the cross overs from our component speakers, installed new carbon fiber tweeter covers, installed sound deadening (hush mats - black in color) in the door and a foam baffle behind the door speakers of our 350z. Had the parts for 2 years but just never got around to it. This year and during the pandemic I have been doing a lot to the car so finally completed this little job.

My speakers are 15yrs old and still sound amazing - JL Audio Evolution XR650-CW. I’m considering upgrading the speakers because they are a bit rusty but they still sound so good so on the fence about it. My sound system consists of 6 x JL Audio speakers and 2 x 10” JL Audio subs in a stealth box all powered by a JL Audio 900/5 Amp. Best part of it was just teaching my son a bit about one of my hobbies from back in my high school days.

I'm a nurseryman by trade. Winter time is when we receive a large shipment of "bare rooted" trees for sale during the cold season. What we don't sell as bare rooted by the end of winter, we pot and grow on for sale through the rest of the year. It's a big and dirty job to get each tree labeled, sorted, pre-orders pulled and buried in sand for storage.

The bundles of trees are covered in wet hessian to keep the roots moist while we do the above.

Trees now upright and stored in sand beds for the winter. Glad to see it all done..........for now.

I finally got some hangers for my Quick Jacks. I used to keep them on the floor where my floor jacks are. What an improvement!! Sizzle, not sure where you store yours, but these are great.

Front and rear pads and rotors on my A6.

Third complete set of front brakes since I bought it (about 153K miles ago) ; second complete set for the back, though I pad slapped it once as well.

Yuck!

Not today, but over the weekend I attempted to do the yearly dryer vent cleaning. I guess 3 years is all one of these cheap-a$$ foil vents can take.

So I replaced the entire thing complete with new elbows.

Not nearly as labor-intensive as your malady though, John.......... :/

Have an appointment on Friday to get 2 new tires since one has a bubble on the sidewall. Wouldn't you know it, it happened to another tire today. So I'll be limping to get the tires and have 2 more ordered.
