My cousin’s snow blower fell off the back of his plow truck. The force of the impact on the wheels cracked the pinion sprocket in two, and damaged the differential gear. (Pics).

Not pictured are the damaged drive controls and interlock systems. Other than that, it is in surprisingly good shape. Engine still starts with one pull.

I just did a parts search. Looking at around $400.

Should have them by next weekend, then I’m thinking 3-4 hours of work.

Poor guy. At least his cousin is a mechanic. What did you do today non-detailing related?

Probably 1st time and last time Iíll here that sentence in my life. What I like about this forum. Whether your from east, north, south, west. Poor, rich, detail once a year or everyday. Black, white, Asian, Hispanic or any other nationality. Doesnít matter wear all here brought together by detailing. Maybe more of the world should start washing their own cars.....

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

Got started on a few minor things to get my son's Jeep back up to perfect.

    • 4 new shocks because 18yr old ones started to leak. Yep....originals still.
    • End Links, because having these break-off wouldn't be fun. Again, just another basic thing that needed done.
    • New Cat-back exhaust. Nothing fancy, just new stainless and quiet as this won't be an off-roader. With only 85k on her clock, the previous owner didn't drive much and thus water rusted it from the inside out.
    • Valve Cover Gasket to fix a small leak on the rear side. - did that tonight
    • Will take her in for an alignment once all is done. Thankfully a buddy of mine owns a shop and will help get her squared away.

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

Stayed up too late last night, then slept in. Woke up,rolled back over, and woke up at almost 2. I guess I needed to sleep. Off today btw...

Walked the Corgi,Drove my old C10 for a bit,and then took my Corgi for a ride. We took some cardboard to the recycling trailer. Pretty much killed the day.

Went to a visitation for a former neighbor, and then picked up a pizza afterwards. Played around on FB and YT since then.
