13 years ago today the eye wall of Frances came over my house. No damage just lots of rain and 3 days w/o power because the lazy sods at TECO hadn't kept the lines clean from tree limbs etc.

Irma is the most powerful Hurricane ever recorded in the eastern atlantic, unfortunately it will wipe everything in it's path from the face of the earth.
In California terms it would be like 8-9 magnitude earth quake.

This is a very bigggg one! I'm nervous about this one and I live in DC area!
These systems tend to make a right turn after landfall and then we'll get a piece of here as well...

Tom - I'm with you on that. I'm in Baltimore. Sandy caused damage for me when we lost electric and sump pump went out. Hoping it just turns out to the ocean.
