I haven't found a good way to secure a magnet there. Anyone come across this? Might purchase a strong magnet + something like 3m VHB tape to hold it in place.

Hello,
i just purchased the 4ah battery and used it last week. It lasts a lot longer then the 2h. I found it on eBay for 50.00 and it was definitely worth it. Maybe 50 percent longer.

The official worx battery has the battery life indicator. Correct part # for the 4.0ah is wa3578

Take a look at the area in red. Behind the plastic is the magnet switch. If you look at the extension rod when you twist it in, that piece has a small magnet on the end.
You can test this by taking any magnet you have from maybe a fridge and pass it over the area and off and you will see and hear the difference.

Is that switch the reason for the higher pressure with the different length wands?

Yep. Maybe so you don't damage plants or something.
