I was thinking the same thing. Very cool.

Our fur baby Bleau (Bicheon Frise) is still a bit lost without his older brother Oscar who we sadly said goodbye to in 2016 & isn't a fan of being home alone ever since. Luckily the in laws live pretty close & they have Olly, a Sydney Silky who loves the company, so we drop Bleau off for play dates if we are out or during work hours.

Dave - I'm sure you'll update us this week after your appointment with Dude.

They are ... and they're MY best friends too. I don't know what I'll do when they're not with me anymore. It's the one thing I hate most about having dogs. Their lives are too short.

I agree Don, its something I think about often. I just try to think positive and try to give him the best life possible.

Mine are spoiled rotten. I had to put down my beagle after he started getting mean.... the young Mopsy would stand between him and us and growl at him and even attacked him once when he charged at my wife. That's when there was no doubt it was time. Still, it broke my heart and I cried all day and felt terrible for weeks. What made it worse was that Spock (the beagle) was MY SON'S dog and "spock" was the second word in my son's vocabulary after "Enterprise." A trekkie from the beginning. My son was 2 or 3 and non-verbal at the time, so we made a big deal over what words he DID say.

The Dude went to his checkup today, I was unable to attend due to schedule conflicts. So Heather took him up, just a bit ago when I woke up she gave me the update.

Everything went well, both neurologist who looked at him today said he looked great. They put him back up to a full steroid pill every other day, and that we have to go back in 6 months. So things are good!

I don't have a 'dog' in this discussion, but I did read once that dogs don't live as long as humans do because humans spend their whole lives trying to 'be happy'... dogs just 'are happy' and therefore don't have to live so long to figure out how to 'be happy'... love my 2 dogs too... Magie (pitbull) and Kaiser (Doberman)... glad all is working out Hammer77...
