I had an 11 and 14 Prius classic/lift back and made more than one vacation with four adults and luggage. Yes i told each person one modest size suit case.

My pops has a Prius V and it had more hatch room than a prime (what they are called now I guess)

It's not a fun car to drive like passion and sporty wise but you never drive it thinking this thing is a POS you just put gas in it and oil change every 10k miles. First two are free. Complete stress free car.

I see nothing wrong with the Hyundai but if it doesn't fit your stuff it doesn't work.

One of the guys in my golf group has a Prius V and you are right it will hold four adults and 4 golf bags, but IMO it is one of the most unpleasant cars to look at I have ever seen.

why buy a car if it's ugly, the exterior design is one of main reasons of buying a vehicle for many...

Don't know what Chris purchased, but I ended up getting the 2018 VW Tiguan and love it. I really do like VW's and liked the new Tig from the moment I saw it (very classic look that won't look dated in a year), but was a little apprehensive buying a completely new car in it's first year of production. Once VW announced the Tig comes with a 6 year bumper to bumper warranty it was a no brainer for me. Was lucky enough to find the exact color and model I wanted that had only been on the dealers lot for a week--they had removed the shipping wrap, but never washed it or prepped it in any way. Signed the deal on a Friday and told them I'd pick it up the next day, but if they touched it I'd back out of the purchase. Worked out great--car was dirty and had quiet a bit of adhesive residue here and there but after it was cleaned up not a swirl anywhere to be found. IronX, Nanoskin block, two coats of FK1000p, couple of coats of HD Dress on the trim and I was done.

The RAV4 Hybrid has much more interior room, considerably more power, yet still gets great miles per gallon. Get her to at least drive one. Since it's so much larger inside it will be positively more useful as your young family grows. The Kia is a miniature inside compared to the RAV.
