Exclamation Car detailing has come a long way.

It just overwhelms me the choices of car care products that are available today! Guess I am getting OLD. Back in the day you had a few choices of wax and tire products. Now you have a stagering choice of wax, coatings, tire protectants, etc... List never ends and keeps growing daily. For a newbie this has to cause several hours of looking and researching what to buy!! Tell you tho, times are good.

Don't you think part of that is just the online shopping experience? There was always a limit to what a brick & mortar store could put on the shelf.

This is true however I think it's shifting into over kill, everybody and their brother has a product line with that being said there is not a dollars difference between them.

Without forums, specifically AGO and Autopia and their ecommerce many of us would be stuck with Walmart's, Autozone's and O'Reily's awesome selection(sarcasm).

I probably don't need 10 different polishes, 3 different waxes, 4 sealants and gallons upon gallons of different cleaners. Let's not forget about my fine Italian polisher

I love this hobby and am glad I found AGO and all the great info you guys/gals provide for free

    This ^^^.

I wish that there was a Walmart sized retail store with nothing but detailing products. A Cabelas of the detailing world would be awesome. I was in Autogeek's warehouse and that is probably as close to this dream as we will ever get.

It can be dizzying, the array of products out there.

If I hadn't started with Meguiar's so many years ago, it would be difficult to settle on a main source of products.

Today I tend to avoid as relabled lines of products and tools. I don't even have a really good reason for it, other than it's just a way to narrow things down.

I had toyed with the idea of starting a product line, but I think it would be difficult to improve on the items I use.
