Re: paul_g news
So house is under agreement, with a 4/21 close date.
All the 3-6 mos rentals I've put offers on are gone... YIKES!
Next step, look at 12 mos Rentals... (not my choice... but)
I have two weeks to find an address to move too, line up movers & intercity for the two Mustangs (yes, I have a problem)... be here when they load everything, then race against them 2400 miles (via Vehicle with wife, and my greyhound Khaki), to get to an unknown address (at this point) to receive my stuff (and Mustangs). Somehow I think I'm going about this all the wrong way!!! With an amazing plan!
Aside from that.. this is a piece of cake!!!! :-|
Stress???? What stress?????

Good luck Paul for a safe and happy move! Let us know how you adapt to the newfound heat of AZ. Big change from NH indeed.

Congratulations on the move. If you miss the snow, you can always visit Flagstaff.

Why do you only have 2 weeks if you are closing on April 21st, Paul?
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Originally it was 4/7... We asked to push to 4/21 and got the ok.
In hind sight the plan was to be out of here asap, but last night I asked myself the same question you just asked... My answer; my plan was flawed. :|
So, we're kicking back, we got a few apps in on rental places, waiting to hear back... and we'll shoot for bugging out of town sometime before the 21st.
I have a power of atty who will do my closing.

Ok, well let me know when you go. I'll be the guy hitch hiking on I-95 with the "FELLOW AG MEMBER NEEDS A RIDE SOMEWHERE WARM" sign.

Well, we made it to AZ. 2700 mile trip in a well packed Honda Fit with the Mrs and our greyhound Khaki. It took us six days and we stayed two nights at our friend Dan's house in OKC for a much needed break. I can't say there weren't a few scary moments driving through IL to OKC, then through Texas. Storms, bad accidents on I40... But we made it.
Cadillac Ranch, Amarillo, TX
Acclimation to the arid AZ air has been slow, and I've had one stint in the hospital for an IV and almost did it to myself on Saturday when I detailed two of my own cars. What I've learned, not enough water is bad, too much water is equally as bad.
The two Mustangs arrived the same day we pulled into town. We used Intercity Lines and they were fantastic! My driver was Scott who carefully placed the cars in the Inter City enclosed carrier and he kept in touch with us during the whole trip.
He is a car guy himself with a couple of hotrods, and was very careful. My cars paled compared to the other cars on the carrier, but he was equally careful with mine none the less.
Few pics after they were loaded:
Videos of them getting unloaded: (not sure why these didn't embed)...

Porsche 911 R - NOT MINE!!! LOL. Scott told me these are very rare and you already have to own a 911 to purchase one of these.
Household Goods showed up next day and I can't say enough about Mayflower and our driver Frank. He and his crew were excellent on the NH side. Frank drove all the way through to AZ, and assembled his best crew to unload. Nothing broken, nothing lost! We learned that if you get a good driver and crew, you can personally request them in the future. Frank assembles his own crew based upon those he works best with and that do a amazing work.
Met up with Wills and Daniela at Windows & Wheels and got a tour of the shop. Had a great visit, they showed me around and gave me lots of good info. Also picked up the 11 boxes of detailing supplies I shipped to them, to which Wills made Dani carry all of them to the second floor! LOL.
Got my Puretec system up and running. Thanks to a good tip from Wills and Dani! The company (Puretec) is here in Gilbert and does tank exchanges when the light turns red. I did three cars already and I didn't get to dry the third car in time as the sun was fully up (10:30 am). The rinse was spotless!
Also along the way my User Name changed from Paul_G to LSNAutoDetailing. Now it's time to still dig out of boxes, get acclimated and enjoy what AZ has to offer.
