i think this going to be a great match with the GG3 with lots/plenty of power. i just bought the 2" conversion kit which comes with one each of all the BOSS foam/microfiber pads (been waiting for this!) and 2" backing plate even though i already bought the backing plate when it first came out (same one below that comes with the 2" conversion kit). i have used the 3" FAST cutting microfiber pad (no foam interface which translates more direct energy) with the GG3 and it didn't bog down at all and cut quick on some nasty headlights. you can only imagine what a 2" backing plate and pads are gonna do. you gotta hand it to GG for listening to their customers on remedying the situation for those who said the GG3 was under powered...

very good points. I just re acquired a rupes mini this summer and forgot how nice the rupes line of polishers were. I still love using my megs g110v2 and gg6 though. The rupes nanos are too pricey for the frequency I use them at, I think the gg3 w the backing plate would be a good compromise. Could even just get the backing plate and the pad punches and punch out my own pads.

i have been searching for a 50mm (2in.) hollow punch in a kit but most all of them are not offered with that size in it. the megs foam discs and lake country thinpros are two that i would like to make that size in. may have to break down and order the kxk 2" hollow punch...
