+2. I use the Rupes system, so there is no big reason for me to switch. But if I was new to polishers, or looking to upgrade from a PC, the BOSS system is just another option.

Re: Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

Stopped by the Showcar Garage today to help Nick polish out the hood on a Kia SUV using the Boss system and I'm really impressed.

The machines feel solidly built, very smooth, powerful, comfortable, like the pistol grip and rounded edges and handle the curved edges better than the Rupes IMO.

Looks like they really did their research, especially with all the options. Everything looks fantastic!

Re: Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

    Dear Friends

I'm not in the market for a new polisher, as I'm satisfied with my second-generation Griot's 6" DA. I've never used any other polisher, so I don't have any real-life comparison.

I can say that I burned through the paint on my white 2012 Odyssey, which is evidence that in the hands of the right idiot, the machine has the power to cut quickly. I thought DA polishers were idiot-proof. I reckon I'm the bigger idiot that foils this claim.

When I decided on the 6" Griot's three-and-a-half years ago it was because of two reasons: more power and lifetime warranty.

Those reasons are still valid today, and it looks like Griot's is still delivering.

Very cool! It will be interesting to hear the reviews, especially from current Rupes users to see how these new polishers stack up against them. Overall, this is exactly what the public was asking for and Griot's Garage certainly delivered today. Thanks for the writeup Mike!
